Lois Forsell visited Astley Community High School recently to help prepare the Year 10 girls for the Champion Schools National Final.
Lois is a current England Rugby League Women’s International and alongside her role at Leeds Rhinos she is a Rugby Football League ambassador. In her ambassador role Lois came to speak to the girls about her journey in rugby and to help prepare the girls on topics such as tackle technique, try line defence and decision making in attack.
Rugby Coach, Mr Carbutt said: “I have known Lois throughout my role at Whitley Bay Barbarians and invited her up to work with the girls. It was good for the team to hear a fresh voice with new ideas. Lois has a wealth of experience at the highest level of women's rugby league and I am sure the girls valued the time with her.”
