Visiting our school

We have open evenings for lower school and sixth form in the Autumn Term, during which we explain to prospective parents and students why Astley Community High School is a good school. In addition, there is the chance to meet staff and current students in teaching areas and to see the resources available at Astley.

All students who express an interest in attending Astley Community High School from Year 9 will be invited to spend a week with us during July. This will enable students to get a feel for the school, experience high school lessons and to meet and spend time with their form teacher and class mates.

Parents of prospective Year 9 students will be invited to an evening meeting in July during which they will be introduced to staff and learn more about the school and, in particular, the roles of the form tutor and Student Progress Leaders.

Parents and students wishing to visit the school at other times are very welcome to do so and should contact Graham Scott, Head of School on 0191 2371505 to make an appointment.
