English Language

You Tube Mr Bruff - anything from Mr Bruff is helpful. You will find guidance on how to approach each question in Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Do your homework. Practice each question. Attend Tuesday revision sessions (week 2) READ: for practice and ... and pleasure!

 

English Literature

Know your texts. Make sure you are clear on plot, character, themes, key quotations and structuring exam responses. Make flashcards with key quotations from each text.

Useful Apps:

  • Pinterest - lots of useful revision posters and photos by searching 'GCSE PE' in the Pinterest search bar.
  • Gojimo - set it to the AQA spec. Looks pretty good!
  • BBC Bitesize App - this has an AQA filter and breaks the spec up in to sections. 
  • Revision App. This is a paid app (£10 for 1 month, £25 for three months). It gives access to exam board specific revision videos, quizzes and exam papers etc.
